February Outing
Ready to make some progress on a Eagle required merit badge? The troop has spoken and your PLC has answered! Join us for spectacular camping on the shores of beautiful lake Allatoona.
Scouts – Please pay close attention as you fill out the camping registration form. We are trying to gauge the level of interest in the Eagle-required merit badges. The form will ask you to select your first, second, and third choices of Eagle merit badges to work on. Please note that this selection is not a guarantee of availability but rather a tool to gauge where the majority of the troop’s Eagle merit badge needs lie. Availability will be based entirely on the availability of Eagle merit badge counselors.
Important! Attending Adults – The registration form will also ask you if you are a Current Eagle merit badge counselor or willing to sign up as counselor for this trip. Signing up to be a merit badge counselor is easy. For our troop, the basic requirements are being a registered adult with current YPT and knowledge of or willingness to learn the material. If any of the following merit badges interest you, consider signing up as a troop 143 counselor. For this trip to be successful, we will need to select a small group of merit badges to cover and at least (2) counselors per badge to support training requirements. If you do not want to be a counselor, that is fine too! We still want you to attend the campout as we will need folks to fill critical roles like grubmaster and medical officer.
