May Outing – Ropes Course Adventure

WHO: All Troop 143 Scouts, ASMs, and adults.
WHAT: Troop team-building challenges in the morning and adrenaline-fueled adventure in the afternoon.
WHEN: Approximately 8:30am to 4:00pm.
WHERE: Sojourn Adventures on the campus of Perimeter Church in Johns Creek. This is right in our backyard. A great opportunity to have an action-packed day so close to home.
WHY: To get our Troop more comfortable with trusting and relying on each other and to push their boundaries with mental and physical challenges.
There are two tracks for this activity, resulting in two price points. All Scouts and adults will participate in the morning team-building activities. We will have lunch around noon. In the afternoon, Scouts and adults will move on to different programs based on their appetite for adventure.
TIER 1 OPTION ($88) – Tier 1 participants will partake in 2-3 challenging activities, including the Vertical Playpen (an obstacle course that challenges the mind and body as the participant climbs up and over rock holds, cargo nets, suspended tires, and more), the Flying Squirrel (participants start off on a spring and are lifted into the air as if they are flying), and the Outdoor Climbing Tower (allowing the climber to choose a route suited to an individual’s climbing skills).
TIER 2 OPTION ($110) – Tier 2 will appeal to those who are feeling more adventurous. The Tier 2 activities will be the Team Enhancement Challenge Course (teams traverse through 6 challenges, working as a group to solve problems together, including Raider’s Bridge, Criss-Cross, Pipe Dream, a 55 foot rappel, and more) and the Canopy Tour (a continuous belay system with 6 interconnected ziplines and 3 challenging bridges).
