John Dorman Duty to God Award Ceremony

$10One of the best events on the Scouting calendar will occur on Saturday, March 14…the John Dorman Duty of God Award Ceremony. Please plan to arrive early so your Scout can get a seat up front and hear one of our own Troop 143 Eagles deliver the keynote address. He’s a Black Hawk helicopter pilot and should deliver an excellent message. Breakfast is served at 8:30 am and cost to support this excellent event is $10 each. Scouts should be in their full Class A uniform.
We have multiple John Dorman Duty to God Award winners over the years in Troop 143 and multiple candidates in 2020 for this prestigious award. Please be sure to attend with your Scout for the following reasons:
- You will see some outstanding Eagle Scouts that have achieved significant accomplishments in the lives. Great role models for our Scouts.
- You will hear a great message from a Troop 143 Eagle that is currently serving our country. Another tremendous role model for our Scouts.
- You will be able to support and encourage the 2020 nominees from Troop 143. Additional role models.
- Your Scout will learn more about John Dorman and what they will need to do to be nominated for this award in the future. Good planning.
- You will get a great breakfast.
- You will have the opportunity to serve JCUMC in a service project immediately following the award ceremony. Bring a change of clothes and gloves.
